About 55 volunteer workshop managers work closely together with the national body responsible for organising the EuroSkills 2020 competition. Their responsibilities include setting up the venues for the vocational competitions and making all the necessary materials and tools available. The workshop managers participate in an extensive training programme, gain valuable experience and familiarise themselves with international developments in trades and skills (especially the impact of digitalisation and its direct and indirect influence on the trades and skills and related vocational training). They build an international network and exchange ideas with experts from all over Europe. And, of course, they remain constantly up to date with the latest technologies and trends!
This international expertise, which is so important for vocational training, will then in turn be incorporated in the long term into youth training and into teaching in vocational schools.
