Skills for Europe, Skills for the World
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE OEAD-SYPOSIUM
For more than three decades, Erasmus+ has been a driving force for innovation in the educational landscape in Europe. The programme will continue to serve as a framework to face and embrace global changes and to discuss approaches for solutions in the future.
Jobs and therefore vocational education and further training are subject to change: Digitalization continues to increase, professional services are becoming more important, migration brings opportunities and challenges, and environmental issues are being prioritized and addressed.
People in Europe and across the world need access to comprehensive vocational education and training as well as adequate support in gaining relevant competencies and skills.
We will discuss the following questions: Can vocational education and training be a key factor in meeting and managing global challenges? What is the role of Erasmus+?
At the conclusion of the symposium, the results of a study on international mobility in apprenticeship training will be presented and discussed.
Target group: policy makers, Erasmus+ stakeholders, vocational education representatives, participants and accompanying persons of EuroSkills 2020, etc.
